Organizing Your Day

Do you wish you were better at organizing your day?

Is your day swarming with things you know you need to do, or should do, but then you forget and when you do remember, it's too late? Do you wish you were more organized so things would run more smoothly and you'd feel more in control and less stressed? If you said "yes", then you're in the right place to get a little guidance organizing your day.

The times we live in are so full and scheduled in comparison to many years ago. It doesn't matter if you're a stay-at-home-parent or working away from home, our lives are all busy.

Nowadays people have longer working days, filled with appointments, events, and activities. That's not to mention the basic daily tasks of bathing, eating, doing laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and maybe even stealing a little time for relaxing!

What can we do to help manage our busy days?

One thing is to make sure you don't over schedule yourself and your family. That alone will help everyone to be more relaxed, and leave time to be together as a family as well as get some other important things done. This isn't to say you should forfeit being on the soccer team so you can stay home and fold laundry! Absolutely not. But just don't overdo the extracurricular activities.

The best thing to do with our busy days is to plan them. There are ways to streamline some of these daily tasks and ways to keep track of everything so you aren't feeling so out of sorts about what is supposed to be happening in your life.

Some extremely important tools to help you with your daily planning are a good calendar or planner , knowing how to use to do lists , and a daily routine.

Let's dig deeper into those daily tasks and routines to see how we can make things run a lot easier, leaving you more time and less stress.
