Goals for getting organized in July – Recap of the first 6 months
We’re keeping July’s mission short and sweet. We simply want to look back at what we’ve completed over the first six months of the year. We also want to spend a little bit of time in each of the areas we’ve covered so far tidying up to make sure that any progress we’ve made doesn’t slip back into clutter. And then, we’re going to relax and enjoy the summer!
One important rule to follow…
As always, break it down! There is no need to do everything in one day or one weekend. It’s easier and less of a chore to work on things for 15 minutes a day. Set a timer and focus on one room or area or drawer or whatever you choose. After that 15 minutes is up, you’re done. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish in 15 minutes. It that still seems too hard, do 3 five minutes sessions… anyone can do something for FIVE minutes!! Start small and I bet you’ll get inspired to do a little bit more.
Where to start?
Head right on back to the “Getting Organized Together this Year" page and click on whatever area of your home you want to review and focus on. A good idea would be to focus 15 minutes in each of these areas to keep away any clutter you’ve already banished.
Put your things away!
As always…. Put your things away when you’re done using them. I’m still convinced this is one of THE biggest ways to stop the clutter from spreading through our homes.
