Christmas Organizing

Are you looking for a little help with your Christmas organizing so you can actually relax and enjoy the holidays?

Christmas is one of the biggest holidays celebrated around the world. People put a lot of time and effort (and money) into celebrating Christmas.

What are the things that make Christmas most enjoyable and memorable for you? It's certainly not the fact that you spent the entire day in the kitchen, or that you had to fight crowds shopping for gifts.

Great holiday memories come from spending enjoyable time with friends and family. Getting to relax and do special things that you can look back on with fond memories. It's about traditions.

Pre Christmas organizing will help you get things done more easily and on time and let you stay ahead. Let's get started planning your holiday so that you can relax and enjoy it!

Holiday Planning Notebook

To get started with your Christmas organizing, you'll want to put together a notebook or checklist of some sort. You can get fancy and put everything into a notebook with dividers or you can be a little more casual and use a spiral bound notebook. The key is to keep everything in one place so all parts of your plan are readily accessible. You may want to plan Thanksgiving and Christmas together in the same notebook since they seem to run together. You can check out my christmas organizing checklist to get an idea of how I manage all of my holiday planning details.

Master To Do List

The first page in my notebook is the master to do list. This helps keep me on track with the things that need to be done in preparation for Christmas. It covers all of the items listed below (food shopping, gift shopping, mailing cards, etc.). I add to it as I think of other things I need to do, and I cross things off as I go along. I love crossing things off!

The following sections or pages should be included in your Christmas organizing notebook. These are important for getting ready for the holiday season and making it memorable:

Planning Other Holidays

If you can master holiday planning for the biggies, then you should have no problems celebrating the other holidays throughout the year. Those other holidays can also be a lot of fun and build special memories. Depending on how you celebrate those holidays, the holiday menu planning will also work, along with our party planning tips if you're throwing a party.

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. I always look forward to the costumes, trick-or-treating and the parties. I would love to share my ideas about Halloween!

My friend's family throws a great Easter party every year with a huge egg hunt outside in an empty lot with awards for those who found the most eggs. It's a lot of fun.

Our neighborhood throws a fun 4th of July party, as well as the many parties and functions that go on during that day of the year. It's a great time to have friends over for a summer cook out.

So let all those other holidays be a great excuse to get together with friends and family to create some great memories as well!
