Introduction Hello! We finally had a “normal” weekend last weekend with everyone at home and healthy, for the first time since before Thanksgiving. I pulled out the honey do list and we got some work done. We got some shelves up and some of the last boxes unpacked. It’s now mostly those odds and ends we need to figure out where they’re going to live. I also spent some time in the garage clearing space so I could finally get my van in there! However, I need a foot more of length to get it in there. That stuff at the front of the garage needs to go somewhere else, but not sure where right now as there are a few things on the sides we need to toss/sell/donate. I feel a big garage cleaning project coming up. I did a little bit of cleaning supply reorganizing and I’ll show you more down below. Did I already mention I hate cleaning? Interestingly enough though, I have too many supplies and not enough ambition to use all of them! Click the logo above to learn more! The Monthly Mission – Bedrooms and Closets Our bedrooms and closets are our personal space. It should feel welcoming and relaxing, not cluttered and messy. I promised I would revamp my cleaning supplies in the home and share it with you, but what I did was nothing spectacular. But then again, this website is about regular people, right? Not Home and Garden Magazine. While I was in the garage unpacking and cleaning, I tossed any bad cleaning supplies, and put all the rest on a shelf near the door going into the house. I found that I already owned two cleaning supply totes. I filled one tote with basic cleaning supplies (windex, disinfectant wipes, toilet bowl cleaner and tub/shower cleaner and a sponge) and put it up under the kids bathroom sink upstairs. I filled another one with the same type of supplies and put it under the hall bathroom sink. The master bathroom is right next to it so I figured I’d just use the one tote for both bathrooms, at least for now. I also put a roll of paper towels in each area to be used. The space under the kitchen sink is quite large after we had an old stinky filter system removed, but it still needs a thorough scrubbing For now, my most used kitchen cleaning products are simply lined up at the front of that cabinet. Hey, if it works, don’t fix it. But I’d like to get better use out of that space in the future. Any surplus cleaning supplies (I used to stockpile) and any specialty cleaning products are on that shelf just inside the garage should I need them, as well as any dusting materials.
