Introduction Just a quick stop in as I’m up to my ears in boxes, literally. If nothing else, this move has made me wish I had been more of a minimalist prior to this. We have a lot of stuff. We’re still donating things as we’re packing, but it’s not enough to make a huge difference. Do we really need and use all this stuff? I say “no”, but I might have resistance from the rest of the family about some of the stuff. I plan to be very thoughtful in future acquisitions of stuff, that’s for sure! Click the logo above to learn more! The Monthly Mission – Kids Stuff Kids have a lot of stuff. What’s the best way to deal with it all? After packing up my daughter’s bedroom, I’d say number one is to limit it!! To read about September’s monthly mission, click here. I Can't Wait! Literally, on the day we no longer had to keep the house spotless and began packing, the house went from relaxing, spacious and pristine to absolute chaos! That big of a change in such a short period of time drastically showed me the difference about how I feel in each situation. Once the house was filled with boxes, and stuff was lying around on the floors and counters, I felt stressed out. It is hard to think, cook or relax when there are piles of things obstructing your space. Now, I know that this is due to packing, but it has the same affect when living in a messy house on a regular basis. Lesson learned. It’s worth the bit of extra energy to keep the house decluttered. Although, I would not go as far back to the other extreme as to live in a show house! I’m truly hoping that the family as a whole can take some of our daily tidying habits along with us to the new house so it can feel
tidy and relaxing. I'll check in next month and let you know how it's going!
